E-Brake Handle Cover?
Hey guys..
Got tired of looking at a brick in my center console. I removed the stock e-brake handle cover and slid a standard shift boot over it. Looks really clean.. But all that's there for the e-brake is an all black assembly. It looks good, but not complete. So I got a universal e-brake handle to use over it and it doesn't fit. The factory handle must be really fat.. Anyone find a handle that works with our e-brake?
Thanks!

The fitment on that lever is HORRID. I don't know what icemaid did on hers, I think there was a tab or something that was filed down, but hers fits with the button sticking out like it should on the end, makes it look stock.

Yeah, I've got the Hurst on so I don't have to worry about it. That and I painted my dash trim that got all chipped up, painting anything else woudl be WAY too much blue.
Even the ION Redlines have nicer handbrakes than the Cobalts.

Here's icemaid's how-to. I think she has by far the best looking install that I've seen on here.

No need to, the Momo fits just fine if you look at one of the nicely done how-to's.
Because you didn't install it right. If I remember correctly there's a small modification like a tab that needs to be filed down or off that will allow the handle to slide on properly.

Well, no, cause it's basically a direct fit.
1) buy handle
2) remove OEM brick
3) trim rubber lip
4) slide new handle on
5) install boot (which according to my makeshift step-by-step, you forgot to buy with the handle )
There's not really anything else you need to do. My guess is the only thing keeping CC08's from fitting properly is that he didn't trim that little lip on the stock one.

Yeah, but you have to find one. And one that fits over the stock button. But I guess painting works too =P
