Just ordered these, my current ones are ultra dim and when I hit a deer this summer the shop only replaced drivers side and left the passenger side cracked so it became yellow. An argument could be made that if I had led headlights before then I could have seen the deer and not hit it https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-05-10-C...pid=1540569935
You would still need the led bulb for those headlights, and I think the are more difficult to find and expensive.
you can use regular headlights and put led but you will blind other drivers if not properly aimed. You could go HID and has less glare than LED bulbs on regular headlights
It all depends on you LED bulbs. I have been running them for years now and I prefer them over HIDs. This is a stock style sport light on my 12 ram. Had stock halogen bulbs. I run Farhen bulbs in my headlights and then error free bulbs in my blinker. I also did all of my taillights, foglights, third brake light and license plate lights.
So they showed up in the mail, I read on another thread someone said to seal the edges with silicone so I did that the night before installing. Was surprised that they're spyder brand, so Instead of like 250 on carid it was like 130 on eBay. Was kind-of a pain to remove the headlights (especially passenger) since when I hit a deer the place i took it to kind-of half asked the bumper and hoods alignment. I attached photos of where I wired the halos to. Overall I think it went well cant wait ro drive them at night
Photo wasn't very clear, wired the black to the black (negative so duh) and red to the brown so the halos will be on when the parking lights and headlights are on but not the running lights
