Escalade needles
Escalade needles
I work for a Cadillac dealership and while i was pulling in an 07 Escalade i got an idea.
The guage needles on the Escalades look awsome, pics dont do them justice at all.
looky---> http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/...lade&year=2007
They are chrome with the blue in the middle of them, I measured and they are the same lenght as our cobalts from the tip of the needle to the pivot point. Even the smaller one is the same as our boost and fuel.
Does anybody know if these can be instaled on our guages and work right? I hate to buy them and they not work but im very tempted.

I kinda got some bad news i talk to the parts manager and he said the only way to get them is buy ordering the whole guage cluster. Im gona keep diging to see if there is any other way to get the needles.
....plus the only way to get the same blue color would be to light them with LED's like the cadillac cluster is lit with . The incandesnt lights we use in the Cobalt cluster would not light the needles the same way AT ALL .
No we dont . There are 2 tiny incandesnt bulbs that look like leds soldered into the circuit board behind and central to each gauge face .
Another thing to consider on the Escalade needles .....Gauge needles are weighted and calibrated to the air cores or stepper motors that move them . If the needles fit in the Cobalt cluster , the gauges would most likely not be completely accurate anymore .
