hey everyone i was just curious what all you have to do/say to get the perscription or what have you so you can legally have tint all around the car...thanks

 

im pretty sure you have to be diagnosed as allergic to the sun, one of my friends is

 

Most places will NOT just give you one. I tried 3 times, once a year, at 3 different Dr's.

My Dad went and actually got one though. Good luck finding a Dr. that will. Not to mention that it's around $100 just to have an eye exam.

 

prob easier to just pay the fine if you get in trouble

 

I want to know why you need your tint that dark honestly?

I have 35% on my front 2 side windows.
Then 15% on my rear 3 and its pretty damn dark.

I took my 5% all the way around off. Even with my Dads script I would get pulled over on a weekly basis.

They usually let me go but every now and then a cop would still give me a ticket.

I'm going 35% all the way around when I get every other mod done.

 

you need to be allergic to ultra violent rays pretty much. my buddy has a perscription that says his eyes are light sensitive and when get got pulled over the cop told him that "doctors dont make the laws"

this was all before the tint laws passed in illinois though

 

its kinda hard to get one im mi, but if you know an opthamologist it makes it alot easier. it is possible to find one who doesnt mind, but good luck.

 

If your around East Lansing, I would check out Eyes 4 You right on M.A.C.

When I lived there I got some contacts once there just because I ran out. They seem very "chill" and would maybe do it. haha.

Kind of like a mom and pops shop opposed to someone like Bennett Optometry.

why yes i do. i live in americana, by cedar village (since no one ever seems to know where its at). its about to be wingless if i drive up to grand rapids this weekend.

I head up there every now and then. I think I've seen your car sever times. I used to live in Gas Light Village, had an Atp right on Grand Riv above Ned's, and lived on Gunson for a bit.

Legal limit in NH sucks. 35% back windows only. Nothing on the front sides.

 

Such BS that IL, MI, NH, NJ, and VT are the only states that don't allow your front windows to be tinted.

 

5% all around including sunroof, going on 3 and a half years, no problems for me

 

does tinting your sunroof do much?

 

i did it more for days where i have the sunroof cracked or just the sunroof slider ( piece you open before opening the sunroof open ) open and i dont get burned, i got burned a couple times from riding like that in my cavalier so i tinted the balt and no problems since

yeah im really excited for cedarfest this year, but i dont turn 21 til december
