Eyelids idea... thoughts? (pics)

So I've had the Halos on my car for a while and I've been wanting to go back to stock lights for just about as long haha. I'm going to crack 'em open and paint them black at some point soon, but I'm also thinking about doing some eyelids on them. So today I grabbed some electrical tape, poorly painted it black (cryola ftw) and this is a very very rough version of what could happen....

Thoughts?

Fire away...

I think just painting the housings black would look best, I'm not a big fan of eyelids.

I know no matter what I'm going to do the black housings 'cause that looks awesome. These are just an idea I'm toying with. I'll do the headlights then I'll put 'em on again and see what it looks like.

^^They've got some shavings inside the lens and a little tiny burn mark on the left one from covering them when they were being aimed.
If you want 'em when I'm done with my lights, PM me with an offer. I'll send ya pics.

it is a huge pita, have to scratch where your painting, but not where your not painting, then mask it off good enough so you dont paint something else, then wet sanding. But if done right and take your time, it looks good

^^In the pics it's just painter's tape that I slapped on there and messed with it to get it where I wanted it. And I'll keep you in mind as well

I think if your car has eyelids, you can win more races since the other guy will be in tears from laughing so hard.
