Factory Pinstripe

Does anyone know how to remove the factory pinstripe? My stripes on my LS were damaged, it came like that from the dealership in Phoenix when my parents got it. I think it will look better without the stripe.

Thanks

Hairdryer to heat it up as you go along, and a finger nail to get the end up. Continue all the way down the side. Be careful not to scratch the paint. Clean up excess sticky stuff with goo-gone or nail polish remover. Be sure to wash the car afterwards to get the rest of the goo-gone or nail polish remover off the paint. Wax it up if you'd like as well. Enjoy.

very true....its acetone and will remove the paint/clear coat exactly the way it takes off nailpolish.
Just peel it off, if it sticks, heat it up with a heatgun (real lightly). Use wax to remove any other residue. Goo-gone works as well.

Well, on my LS you can clearly see that is it nothing but a sticker. If it was painted, try scratching it, if it flakes, its a sticker. If it doesn't do anything, then its paint.

I'm considering lowering it, but right now I'm going to buy an AEM CIA and DC SPORTS Strut Bar.

Ok I only removed the pinstripe on the left and right rear. But then I realized that I don't have anymore Goo-Gone. What else will work without harming the paint??

Let me think about it.....No! It's not your car, its mine. I could care less if you don't like the RS. I'm not a person who runs around saying "hey, remove the SS, its gay." Seriously......If you aren't going to help on the subject of removing pinstripe glue, don't even post.

F*** all you bashers.

I'd say get more goo gone. That is the only thing I use and can almost guarantee won't **** up the paint.

Opps sorry on the Nail Polish remover. My girlfriend has the acetone free stuff, as it's different from the normal remover! Thanks for catching that guys!
