Failed License Plate Hole Attempt...
Tried to fill and paint the front bumper to get rid of the front license plate holes, and I failed...
Question I have is...how much is it going to set me back in order to get this fixed professionally, or can I do it myself?

you can do it yourself but i hope your pretty confident. i did one hell of an ugly job on my old cobalt when i took off the wing and tried to fill them in.
ended up completely sanding the top of the trunk and repainted it before i sold it. then i bought an 09 ss/tc and just stayed happy with my wing and not dealing with filling in holes.

GO to a GM dealership and ask for your car's color touch up paint. Costs around 14 bucks, than re dill the holes and buy some magnum steel.
Then paint the magnum steel only.
Painting anything else will give you a mis-matched color on the body. Sanding will make the surrounding areas look even crappier.
Or just paint the "plugs" and put them in.

I would not do either of those things.

To get it flush, all you do is get a battery and roll it over it and use a knife or a box cutter to cut of the excess.

I filled the holes that were in my filler plate with JB Weld,
cause the idiots at the dealership decided to drill holes in the filler panel to mount a plate holder on it...
If you look here you can see some minor imperfections, but after a wet sand and another coat it was good as new.
Just tape off the back, fill it with the JB Weld and sand it down like you would any body filler

What grit of sandpaper did you use, and did you just spray painted it afterwards?
