Fake HID's??

So i was at auto zone the other day and I saw these headlights that said HID real big on the front of them. So i was like ok cool, and started to look at them and it said they were halogen with the look of a 6k HID light? They also had 8k look alikes so on and so forth... just curious... anyone have these??? I mean they say NOTHING can look like real HID's but how close could they get?

there was a vendor a couple years back on this forum selling similar. I bought some, and they were shitty. Just get the real thing. With all the different kits out there, it's not hard to find one for a good price.

Your stock bulbs will have better output than those cheap, colored, crappy ones.

couloured ones 99% of the time have less output. some of the sylvania silver stars have more output but short bulb life and are expensive. not very white either. more or less brighter. not worth it at on average more than triple the price. the ones that are truly brighter are a higher wattage but thats not good for the factory wiring harness. they have been known to melt.

^^^^^^
waste of money

get some used projectors and some ddm HIDs. they will last longer than the hi wattage bulbs and will look great. little more money but repeatedly buying the bulbs adds up pretty quickly.
