Fender & Door Edge Guards

When I bought my car it had these guards and were the same color as the car, 4 years later they're faded, old and ugly. I called the dealer and they said that part must be aftermarket b/c they couldn't find it. Anyone else have these? They're just glued on and want to replace them but the auto parts only sells chrome and black and my car is silver (95U).

Anyone know where I could find these?

or

Can I paint black ones? I've never painted before so if someone could get me started, it'd be great.

Thanks

Buy the black plastic ones. Buy some paint to match your car. Spray the guards. Install.

No sanding needed for them i'd say, they're plastic so they should be good. I mean hell I didn't even sand my wheels

Not sure if thats a thing up north with salt being in the roads, but its been 4 yrs, no rust. the guards have just oxidized I guess is what you can call it. It looked fine until the color faded away, but Ill admit it looks better with out it. But again I like my doors&fenders without dents or dings.
