Fire n Ice, interior work

here is my LS getting my SS mock up a lil further

cost effective? yes. $14 for 2.5 yards of vinyl, $9 for body shop heavy duty headliner and carpet adhesive vs. $256 per door panel at the dealer for the SS panels w/ red inserts.

sorry, full coverage insurance on an SS was over 300 a month at my age, now i pay 140 a month full coverage. As soon as gm puts out the new PCM code for the 2.2L 05 cavy and sunfire supercharger for the 05 cobalt, guess what ill be doing till a turbo comes out. you guest it, 2.2L supercharged and the insurance company will never know and will still pay 140 a month full coverage.

pricing for the supercharger on the 2.2L ecotec is $1700 for the charger and 700 for the stage 2 upgrade at the dealer near me.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the charger kit for 1700 is everything needed to make it work after instalation, injectors and all.

i broke the plastic rivits that hold it on, trimed em up and then used super glue and then put hot glue over them after.

EDIT: the person that you have quoted in your sig should have researched about that race. The director took that sequence from a Racer X comic book about import cars with large swoping wing closing off traffic to a road in new york for an infamous 1 mile drag race. if im not mistaken its also in the special features of the dvd

How well do they hold up when you're leaning on them. I don't mean full weight but leaning on em when you're shifting around in the seat. Do you see any difference?

no because the silver plastic w/ window controls has 2 screws in it and mount onto a platform under it. that provides all the suppor along with where the red and black meet up on the bottom edge. There is the factory styrofoam on the back side that provides forward pressure to keep you from pushing it in. this is the second time i did this to the car, the first time i cut the vinyl too short and got sick of it hanging there and fixed it this weekend.

if you are going to try to do this, make sure you read the directions and follow them on the can. if you dont the spray adhesive will not hold. ill sum them up for you if you are that lazy. spray one coat on insert, spray one coat on the vinyl, let dry for 5 min, then spray one more coat on each, let dry for 5 min. then apply the vinyl, it will stick instantly and really hard to pull of so make sure you are stretching the vinyl as you apply it to keep it from bunching up and making creases

if you can find orange vinyl you can do it yourself. i didnt get to pick the color of my car when i got it, i had this and a silver one to chose from with the stuff that i wanted on it. i wanted a black one so i could do green vinyl with green underbodies.

you didnt read the post completely, i said "that is what ill be doing UNTIL A TURBO COMES OUT" maybe you caught it that time. just worry about what you are going to do to your car, dont worry about what i do, if i want to waste money on a supercharger till a turbo comes out then thats my own business.
