First 2.2L with this exhaust..?

This is the ARK GRiP for those of you who don't know. I just installed it late late last night and I am in love with it. <3

Also, this is a new picture to show it really isn't out of place at all, minus it sticking out a bit. Obviously so it doesn't melt the ******* bumper.

Wow doesn't look like it fits the car at all! Do you have it fully installed in these pics? Looks like the hangers are a little low and the muffler just sticks out way too much.

Well, it isn't specifically made for the base models, but it is a 2.5", which is what I wanted.

If you mean how far it sticks out, that's just how it is.

it sticks out more bc it was made for a LSJ, they stick out a tad bit more bc of the lip, and the lip helps hide the fart can a bit aswell, looks good on the LSJ, not feeling it on a base model though sorry...but prob for dropping so much cash on it, although the extra hundreds you spent on it didnt gain u more power than a traditional 2.5" exhaust with lets say a borla or magnaflow muffler...

Yeah, but I've always been a fan of angled canisters. To each his own right?

1. I hate regular mufflers. I like canisters.

2. I like angled canisters.

3. The quality of ARK's exhaust will far surpass any other exhaust, in my opinion, for the Cobalt.

Find me another angled canister style exhaust for the Cobalt. It will be totally hidden with the kit I will be getting anyway.

Case and point: I can understand constructive criticism, but I don't build my car for all the people on this forum.. I do it for myself.

you should take it to a shop and get it shortened a little bit, and hung higher
then it will look nasty

A friend proposed that idea to me last night and I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to get it so it sits flush with the rear, as for hung higher, I don't think it can go any higher.

If you went custom exhaust the shop would have made it fit the car and angled the muffler like that if that's what you wanted. It would have been cheaper and probably just as good quality depending on the shop. But to each their own.

I don't think there is a jury on that... it is a large angled asian coffee can... it is terrible.

Nah, any canister is going to look the same. A can is a can. Custom exhaust or not. I know a guy on these forums who has an angled can and it is a custom axle-back and it looks exactly the same.

What I meant was you could have gotten any canister muffler you wanted and have the shop angle it for you, but at the same time tuck it up a bit and sit flush with the rear bumper so it's not sticking out so far.
