Fitting front B2 bumper... Wtf?

GF got a B2/Zen whatever the eff its called and we just cannot get the front to fit!!! the back went on fine, a bit of trimming here and there but its fit quite nicely but my God that front!

its almost like its too short or something, we get the one side in by the fender all flush and nice bu then on the other side fender theirs like 4" of gap, we tried stretching, pulling blah blah blah but it just will NOT meet both fenders, its almost like I need to chop it in half and widen it, is that unheard of? sure as **** hope not cuz I'm not doing that, pretty much at my whitts end with this damn thing

not sure if it matters but we bought from another member, it was still in original packaging from Extreme Dimensions.

Something behind it holding it away from the crash bar?

Try getting it situated in the center first, sometimes if you get one corner locked in it won't wrap properly around the metal underneath and can seem short.

Usually the aftermarket bumpers will not run the foam or crash beams.

Tried that after still couldn't get it to line up, looked under to see if there was plastic in the way and there wasn't

Wait the steel crash beam? we took the foam out and it still wouldn't fit, you dont mean I have to remove the crash bar right? I wouldn't do that for sure.

Yeah sometimes you have to remove the crash beam, to me it seems like it wasnt made correctly you shouldn't be having such a hard time fitment are crappy but they still fit

Yes I mean remove the steal beam. A lot of aftermarket body kits are ment for off-road use there for they build them to work.Without the beam. If it does fit after removing the beam then it's a poorly made kit

Yep that's how it is with many bodykit bumpers, you have to remove the crash beam.

I had a body kit on my LT and i didnt have to remove the crash bar, but i was told it was a possibility that it had to be removed. Best advice i can give you for a body kit is stay far far away from them

Well the thing is....

On my old 2.4 some cockgobbler hit me in a parkinglot when I wasn't there.. of course the cameras werent working that day so I had to get a new rear cover

Found a Zen rear FS so I bought it for a song and fit it myself, was pretty easy and I thought it looked great!

FF my GF wanted the Zen kit.. I mean like.. HAD TO HAVE IT so I thought alright now prob, we found a kit for a good price and I thought "well **** the back was easy enough, front cant be TOO bad"

Back went on her car just beautifully, some mionor trimming and the tail light pockets are perfect and the sides are flush (besides the way off muffler port, not sure how to fix that.. my old one from AIT was fine :\ ) then we got to the front and no matter what level of Tom-Fuckery would get that bastard to go on!!!

Yeah i mean mine went in no problem, fitment was a 7 out 10 but still i wish they would fit better. Only thing to me is that front bumper was made incorrectly

I can't speak on whether or not we had to remove the front beam. Mine was still there, but bent in the middle. Maybe the shop that installed my zen kit took a hammer to the front beam to make it fit.

I have since gone back to my stock bumper and that was when I realized that the beam was bent. Kind of makes sense now lol.

we stand behind the quality and fitment of all parts we make and sell but we definately recommend install by a custom bodyshop that deals with aftermarket parts/custom work .

Some bumpers and vehicles do require removal of the foam/crashbar but i dont have any notes if this specific bumper does or not.

Why would anyone build a bumper that requires the crash be to be removed?
Its a custom built piece, why not build it to fit something that is import both for on raod and off road use?

All aftermarket bumpers are like this please see some notes from our website regarding this...

Do I need to remove the reinforcement bar?
Not in all cases. The removal of the reinforcement bar may be necessary for correct fitment of certain products. In some instances the reinforcement bar may not require removal or may just need to be trimmed. We strongly recommend that all parts are installed by a certified professional with extensive experience with aftermarket aerodynamic products.

Lets just be clear that this is not a knock at Extreme Dimensions, I goggled this and a lot of aftermarket kits require beam removal, just after doing two rear bumpers so smoothly I didn't even THINK I'd have to remove a crash beam for the front.. I mean I knew I had to do trimming but didn't know I had to go THAT far.

**I know it says to be installed by a pro but that rear is fit damn well, sides are such flush, much smooth, trunk gaps are both 2.5mm.. only thing is I can't get the damn exhaust port to line up... minor annoyance I guess

I am not knocking them at all.
I am just curious why when they have the ability to design something from scratch they would remove a vital beam instead of designing around it.
