Go for it then...A Balt isn't a ricer car...
That's the definition of a ricer, thanks to the Urban dictionnary...
(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.
The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
Honda Civics with big spoilers and 4" exhaust tips are considered to be ricers.

that's just it. he's not doing it for cosmetic reasons. he's doing this for performance reasons. if his stock lip can do it i'm sure he wouldn't get it.
I find nothing ricey about those. Any well educated car enthusiast will know APR is a badass brand anyways (they've had a car in like every SCC Ultimate Street Car shootout for the last few years), and that canards are a very useful aerodynamic downforce inducing mod. Plenty of FWD time attack cars, like Christan Rado's widebody TC use canards. No one can call car's like his rice, b/c they're too busy breaking records.

No problem. I used to race in my '88 RX-7, and I was about to order a CF-Type carbon fiber rear wing, and AWR front lip w/ a CF-Type cf front splitter and CF-Type cf canards........all for downforce purposes. Unfourtunantly, my parents ended up moving to SC, so I had to man up and move out, so instead of turning my RX into a track car like I wanted to, I ended up selling it for a saving account. (which is all but gone now mind you, lol).
But yeah, point is, all my friends were laughing at me when I was telling them the plans for the RX, but in all reality, those few parts would've greatly helped me whoop their hineys at the track. I DID however, get around to the cf mirrors before I sold the car.

yes exactly.... no one can call those record breakers ricers! When in need of more front downforce than the stock body can provide you need to do something! Adding the adjustable splitters or canards are needed!
And that brand is VERY solid! Now if you had liked up some APC canards I'd call ya rice!!! J/K

I dunno how someone can call those rice. They actually HELP your performance rather than make your car LOOK like it can perform.
I still think they are ugly as sin, but I'd put em' on too if I was at the track. (actually BTW, how much do they cost?)
