I think you should go look over the differences between a paint and primer. I've had primer on this car before, and it looks nothing like it does now.

Lol.. plus who would rattle can their whole car? That wouldnt work...

3-5k? Is that because you used a custom color, that seems a little steep to me otherwise

the car looks like pure sex, though. you seem to always do the same projects that i want to do! we have similar rims, the same m3 lip spoiler (are you putting that back on, by the way) and now the flat black.. might be a project for me down the road.

about flat black though, i've heard that it's still a pain to keep looking good? do you know much about the maintainability of the finish yet?

You should either add those Gravana Rims to it... or paint your currents like that.

Black with a Deep Red lip.

I'm not a fan of this truck... but I like the paint scheme.

Meh, flat black, black primer they both look the same to me. *shrug* Like I said I've never been a fan of the primered look, sorry. Not hating at all just saying its not me.

I've seen several cars done with a rattle can, it does work, and actualy it looks like what your pics show. Maybe the pics are the problem, maybe it looks better in person.

Here are a few cars I found in black primer...now like I said I'm not hating I just don't see the difference is all.

Thats what my dad quoted my friend who wanted to do his S-10 in a similar flat black. It's a huge job, involving up to a week or work. They're dismantling the entire car, preping it, painting it, then clearing it. Then they wash it, wax it, and hand you the keys. It's quite the ordeal.... To add to it, this is an actual black paint, with an additive to make it flat. Otherwise I'd just go w/ the enamel based paint they use on OIL rigs. Thats a darker murdered out look, which you can see on the above HOT RODS. Theres a shop out here that would do it for $500.00.

You mean your the one trying to do the same projects as me... lol I'm numero uno on this board w/ that lip. You won't regret it if you go this route, it's just pricy.

As for maintanance; it is a paint, and it has clear. The only difference is that it's flat. It will be treated like any painted car w/ a clear. 100% carnuba waxevery 3-6 months, the weekly wash w/ a spray on detail (not the spray wax crap). And the occasional clay bar... I will be putting my PORTER CABLE to rest

If you can deal w/ gloss black, you can deal w/ flat black lol...

Flat black is a lot like owning a silver car. it doesnt get dirty; well at least it doesn't look like it does.

Ya know I wanted to buy my gravana j2 mesh in black, but I was talked out of it.

It will have to be a project for the future; it looks good as is.

I said F22... not F35.

Although... the F35 is the Marine's Aircraft... so you should do it instead of the F22.

There was a Scion tC on here for sale a while back that had that sort of look going. Looked really sweet, in my opinion.

Interesting...

I swear I thought the F-22 had vector thrusting capabilities. Thats what gave it the ability to fly backwards for a few seconds.
