Foglights

Are ss foglight housings and Lts foglight housings the same?

I have a pait of ss foglight housings/bracketts if you need them, they don't have the foglights.

Yes the Lts came with fogs, the ls did not, and I have an ss bumper that's gonna be going on soon but my fog light lenses are toast ( sandblasted to ****)

Angel can you pm me with pics of said foglights, I do not need the bulbs

They both seem to have the same GM Part Number i think they're the same.
You could call a dealer to find out for sure but according to ALLDATA.COM they're the same

the light bolts to the sheetmetal, not to the bumper, so yes, the lights are the same,as is the harness, and the switch.

some LT level cars had them, some didn't, it was an option

They don't get screwed into the bumper cover lol.
They're whole assemblie mounted behind the bumper.
And as far as I've found the part numbers are the same for the fog light assemblies for all cobalts.
An LT OEM fog light assembly should bolt right up on a cobalt SS, the bumper covers are different but the fog light assemblies appear to be the same

ok well i just unscrewed a foglight from an ss bumper cover the otherday,,,but thnx fer the help

just post a pic of ur fog light assembly you will get a better answer doin that because although the bumper covers are different you should still have the fog light assembly thats behind the bumper that should be the same

Ok, I may be unclear as to how they bolt up exactly, but your original question was are the assemblies/housings the same. And the answer is yes they are the same. The assemblies have the same GM Part number and are interchangeable between the LS and SS lenses and all.

I hope that helps out

my fog light assembly just like is held in place by the bumper there is no bolting it in place it just sits there but is held by clips i believe easy to get in but a pain in the ass to get out lol feels like ur gonna break it to be honest

Yea the projector is screwed into the back of a mounting bracket, there's no sheet metal that it gets screwed to like ^ ******* up there said lol, but thnx for the help I appreciate it. Just didn't wanna pick up a set of lt fogs to find out they don't fit my ss bumper
