Question Front license plate frame

The factory bracket on the sides and top curls inward to hold the plate. It lacks holes for the top two mounting bolts and if they were drilled out it is still very close to the front fascia. These seem to make it hell to put on a frame. I don't want the top of the frame to rattle or sag downward due to the lack of the upper two bolts not there.

Being in VA I have to have a front plate. I want something that looks good and is of adequate width to cover and go over and around the factory bracket.

Has anyone found a good license plate frame that fits over the factory bracket?

I've been having the same problem. Thought about putting screws through the top into the fascia, but I don't really want to do that. I'm outside of Richmond and the cops around here wouldn't let you get to the 7-11 and back without a front license. Not to mention I drive to Alexandria daily and the State Troopers would love to see me on 95 without a front license.

Richmond to Alexandria ? Daily? Are you into the S&M commute or what?

I freak out driving to see my buddy in Fredericksburg.

I have my own business doing windshield repair. I drive to Reagan National every day to do work for the rental car companies. I avoid the morning rush at all costs. I leave Richmond at 4 during the summer and 7:30-8:00 in the winter to catch the HOV lanes open. Not bad once you get used to it.

I installed this chrome frame on my front and back. It fits perfectly over the existing front bracket.
