front plates
So my Cobalt is about to be shipped to Germany. Currently, the state it resides in doesn't require front license plates. It's mandatory in Germany.
I have no where to put plates on the front, no holes, no mounts, nada!
I'm also not about to drill holes into my front bumper, especially if I don't have to.
Has anyone heard of any kind of clip on mounts or something for this type of situation?
I just want to weigh in my options before hand, so when it comes time to register my vehicle over here, I won't say OH ****! lol! and or get a ticket

I just hang under the bumper + theres some electrical one that by a single press of a button you can put your plate in and out ( visible not visible)
kind of nice
germany runs European style wide plates though right? In that case I say just go with the double sided tape. No front mount plate holder that doesn't drill into the front of the bumper will work for those.

I'm not sure, but I think the wide plates may fit on standard holes, The issue the small ones for cars that have the concaved plate holders, like the rear plates.
I'm not sure if i want to spend the $60 for this LOL
If there was something else cheaper...

ya i thought they had the long ones too but ive been seeing a lot of cars on post and the plates are very close to the same size if not the same but they are just two rows of numbers and letters

has anyone installed the retractable front plate?
I was just curious how well this worked with a lowered car. . .
My new plates are zip tied to the front grill, looks retarded.

I'm not sure if that's allowed.
And I don't want to drill holes into my bumper if I don't have to..
I may just end up doing the hole drilling, because I don't want to pay the 60 dollars for the hideaway plate.
ugh. Oh well. .
My car also failed inspection because the handbrake is "low performance"
I just tightened the screw and I think it should be good to go now.
