Frustrated over HID

Well I got a decent HID kit installed. After I hooked it up one light flickers so I ordered a wiring harness from 3bsec and installed and still having the same prob. I switched the bulbs and it still happens on the driver side. The hearness has a 20 amp. Maybe put a 30 in. Please help.

Check your ground first. If that is good try switching the ballasts if the problem follows the driverside ballast you have a bad ballast. If not it is a bad connection somewhere between the ballast and the bulb. It could also be a bad relay, but I doubt it because you would most likely be having problems with boths sides since they are connected to the same relay.

The flicker could be from the ballast as well....

DRLs run on 7 volts not the normal 12.6-13.8V that low voltage causes the ballasts output voltage to drop that is why they flicker.

X2. Try switching the ballasts like I suggested and see if the problem follows the ballast from the driver side. If it does bad ballast if not check wiring.

I use 30amp 12v relays for the HID kits I install. No flickering and they fire up everytime.

My ballast used to do that a long time ago on my lancer. It used to get on my nerves. But it only happened once or twice every time I drove. So I got used to it.

Should be in the middle of the fuse box under the hood. It is a 10A RED colored fuse.

Well isn't that just fun. Is there possibly a relay that is marked DRL?
