Fucntional ram air hood?

I was reading a couple of threads where people were saying that a functional ram air hood is difficult on a COmbalt SS/TC.

However, I found this:
http://www.cincyramairhoods.com/chev...obalthood.html

Any truth to this?

Looks ok but I have no idea how they come up with "adds 20 - 25 hp" - they set up a dyno in a wind tunnel?

Would expect some gains though, at least at higher speeds.

Suncoast hoods are quality pieces, but I'd definitely go with the RK turbosport hood if I had a T/C.

Functional Hood Kits PT# 21013

Pontiac Cobalt Hood does not come with optional ramair kit. Hood kits are a fully functional Ram Air system by adapting to the OEM air cleaner assembly. The hood kits will come with K&N filter, airbox attachments, all necessary hoses, clamps and attachments. Also included with the hood will be the hood scoop grilles and Ram Air decals in the color of your choice. This system will add approximately 20-25hp.

It may not be so fail though if you couple it with a SRI. The inner airflow hole is right where the SRI would sit. Cold air for the SRI... classic SRI problem solved.
