G5 door panels in a cobalt?
seems like these cars are carbon copies of eachother, can anyne confirm that G5 door panels will snap right into the cobalt door frame? thanks guys, my guess is that they would fit but i want to be sure. before spending $200 for panels
the reason i ask is because i have an LS and would like to upgrade to power windows and have had a hard time finding SS panels

ohh ahaha, well we can swap hardware then, what color is your interior? if you would sell me the motor and window regulators and door cpanels, i'd gladly trade you my door cards and crank mechanisms.

now i have to worry about buying window motors and regulator or buying universal power window kits and BEING ABLE TO CONNECT THEM TO THE STOCK WINDOW SWITCH BEZELS. any advice would be great. i already bought the panels so i'm forcing myself to complete this task.
universal power window kits can be had for around $50 for the full 2 window kit.... g5/cobalt OEM window regulators + motors would run well over $125 after shipping, what's m best best. anyone know? anything would help.. i've been contacting the sellers of the universal kits to try and work a solution out with them because half the reason i upgraded to black interior was to utilize the power window switch bezel.

I have an aftermarket window kit in my Cobalt and they're alright, the only feature I miss with them is there's no auto-down feature on the drivers side window. They also blow the fuse whenever I roll both of them up or down at the same time because the wiring in the Cobalt is quite a bit smaller than the wiring for the windows. Just be sure and wire them to their own fuse so if it ever happens it won't cause anything else to stop working (my power steering and everything quit working when I first blew the fuse, the guy rewired them though). I can take a picture to show you how the aftermarket switches look if you'd like.

sure a picture would be great but i don't want to use afermarket switches because i just spent the money on G5dor panels with switch bezels, i need to find out how to make them work.
A key point as to whether or not the universal kits will work in your car is if the G5 panels fit on the door with the manual regulator still in the door. IE: does the uplevel panel clear the window crank shaft without modification?
If the G5 panels fit on with the manual regulators it will be a simple matter of installintg an aftermarket power window kit and utilizing the factory switchgear.(which is not a problem) You'll actually most likely even have a functional express down.
If the panels dont fit over the manual regulators.....youll need power regulators, OR modify your door panels.
