hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knew if a g5 gt front bumper would fit a cobalt? i know the bumpers for all cobalts will fit one another, and where the g5 is practically the same, do the bolt holes match up for easy installation?.... they're ALOT easier to find in a junk yard than a ss.

naw, just bumper and use the grill from mine.

 

You can't do that.... On a G5 the crossbar is cut out of the front bumper in order to put the G5 grille in. So you would either have to use the G5 grille or get a Cobalt front bumper.

 

You can if you have the chrome LT grille

 

Just paint your crossbar black.. same look sorta and it will hold up too

 

^Wtf are you talking about? A G5 bumper has NO crossbar. If he took the grille from a cobalt and put it into a G5 bumper there is still NO crossbar.

The nice answer is no. The crossbar is literally cutout from the Cobalt fascia to make a G5 fascia. It would look like you hacked up a co alt bumper. You need the g5 grille to use a g5 bumper and not look like your car is from junkyard

I know but the G5 has the grille in and I wanted to make sure they understood there isn't a crossbar at all because they don't seem to get it.
