Gen 4.5 Projectors :)
Gen 4.5 Projectors :)
Decided to get black housing Gen 4 Projectors.
Problem was I didnt like the chrome insert.
So I am changing it up. Also removing the reflector and putting in a Mirrimoto Projector in its place to make it a dual projector. NCC200 did this and I liked the idea so I am doing it too. Thanks NCC for the help so far BTW.
some progress pics. still waiting for the new mirrimotto's to arrive. will post pics as I complete them.
So modified Gen 4. Dubbed Gen 4.5
oh yeah.. DONT like it.. DONT care

Yours I think would look good all black. Sometimes a bit of red looks good but sometimes it makes it tacky. The nicest cobalt lights I've seen have been all black with a small projector or in this case two projectors.
I figure with the two tone paint job I can get away with the Black/red headlights
Not to mention im impatient most of the time and to do it all black I would have to paint the original black part as well cause Im a stickler for crap matching. wouldnt want 2 types of blacks.
Will be sanding the otehr headlight tonight and painting it up. Hope my Mirrimotos show up this week.
NCC get on top of it man

Working on it, almost ready to put the lens back onto the passenger headlight. Then just fix the back of the housing to accommodate the projector in the high beam spot and they'll be good to go.
Think you could do a "How To" on this when you get it done? I'm liking this idea of dual projectors a lot.
