Gestapo's Work In Progress Thread:
Alright guys,
I havent been posting up much in awhile, Busy at work contributed to that alot. I know alot of you may not even know who the hell I am anymore. But I decided I gotta do something about my car situation because iv been severely neglecting it for awhile now, and its time for a ressurection of this thing ill be paying entirely too much money for untill 2014.
1st Stage:
2nd Stage:
Currently Sitting:
Definitly not how this car was destined to be. Its candy paint so theres not much I can do to fix it but to redo the whole car. Theres alot of material on it so ill have to strip it pretty much so after work ill be doing panels at a time and 40 gritting and priming. Now while im working on it and priming it ill be kinda doing a style with it because I know itll be a little bit before I find myself a paintbooth to get it shot in and I wanna be able to do the tail of Dragon and stuff and just kinda have fun with it for a bit, so I was gonna do the whole car with black primer, but then i remember how i didnt really like the look of flat black cobalts all that much, so its probobly gonna be light grey primer, and maybe a 2-tone with black primer either from the body line up, or just the roof in black primer.
Color So far Decided for car:
I wanna do a straight base clear for ease of correction over time. I want to be able to not worry about someone scuffing my bumper in a parking lot because i can just sand fix and shoot it in a few hours and not have to worry about a paint match. If my front bumper gets rock chipped up i wanna just be able to fix it real quick in a weekend. This candy thing is cool but severely impracticle for a daily driver and being a painter/body guy able to fix it, its just annoying.
Color decided so far is:
New Ford Fiesta Green.

I love how bright and neon it is, and the whole car painted this color, with a gloss black roof, black rims with a green lip, green calipers, and a marbled green n black valve cover. Wingless with the m3 lip, and I have a spare trunk and highrise ill do green with black wing insert n endcaps to swap on and off for a different look. Then slam it on coils and throw some PF01's on it eventually. Then finish up my 3rd Gen retros

Appreciate it homie
I miss the yellow, love the orange, but i think the green will be my favorite
Haha you too bud! what button bezel you talking about!?
Cause its been hella fun but its time to switch looks up.
That ford green looks neon and bright and metallicy in person. Im not entirely 100% on the color yet, the basecoat wont be sprayed for quite some time now but thats the color im leaning twords right now. I love the color in person and I think itll look great on a cobalt. I think the cobalt has the right shape for the look I want. Everyone is going to have there own opinion on colors thats expected. The pic you posted is around the look im going for, I love that shade of green but that green looks like a non metallic green. I want that shade green with a little silver pearl in it for some sparkle. Less of a 2tone. Hood and trunk will be green. Evo mod n grill bar black, roof black. Black bowtie with green outside trim up front. Wanna find a way to bring the eyelids back with the retros. Not sure if i wanna put green pearl in the black or not yet. I like pearls, and i like incorporating the colors together so they make sense.
Also plan on swapping out my all black interior for the 2tone black n white TC seats. want that 2tone interior.

If your not 100% about the color, what about the Blue that the 2012 stangs come in, its super tasty looking on a stang, might look strange on a balt but if you had black accents like evo mod CF trunk and black housing headlights, i think it would work

I love the mustang blue, but the biggest problem with it is....well they put it on a damn mustang so theres 100,000 cars rolling around that color in my city. Plus I dont want a blue cobalt. theres lazer blue, arrival blue, imperial blue, the other light blue that CC08 had. there doesnt need to be a 7th different shade of blue cobalt.
And im not a huge fan of green myself, but i think the way im gonna do this car will look badass looking at the big picture
Im kinda looking forward to an all light primer gray cobalt with a black roof and black headlights n rims n **** lol
