Glossy tinted tails...how?
Glossy tinted tails...how?
looking for a lil advice how to get the real glossy tinted tail from vht spray. i dont want the smoky rough looking tails. im only gonna do a few coats, 3 maybe. do i sand first then spray then sand... so i sand the last coat before the clear? do i sand between clear coats? paper grit? im tired of looking through threads. thanks.
so you didnt sand at all? yours look good. thats what i want. and i know theres 152,958 threads already. i read through parts of sum didnt find what i was looking for so this was fastest. i can always just delete this when im done. thanks for not flipping tho.
bump...now ive heard 2 completely different suggestions.
do i sand before i spray or just clean the surface and spray?
do i sand between coats?
heavy or light coats?
sand last coat before clear?
sand between clears?
sorry, im kinda new to painting.

a very light coating of sanding is needed then use soap to clean them up and go to town.... the trick is to use clear lightly in the beginning but heavy in the end but heavy to a point where it doesnt streak
i lied i did lightly sand before i painted them just to roughen up the surface first so the tint could stick but after that i just sprayed, let dry sprayed, and so on.
lol alright just wondering. ill get some pictures up eventually. i only did the side markers and third brake light caz i plan on buying the modern performance smoked led tails.
