That is rediculously complicated . The astra has sensors in all the shocks , a special steering column and other sensors that all go thru one controller and all tied to GMLAN . Never gonna happen I am gonna attempt to wire in a 4-way power window switch to manually adjust the projectors thru the electric controllers . It would be a breeze to aim them if that works . I need to see if Hella will give with the full wiring skematic for the controller though . I have a rough skematic , but its confusing .
EDIT Update - I tried this and cant even get the DC motors to work manually . Hella has the DC motors set up to understand GM's electronics . 12v will not power them . From what I can understand a 12 volt reference goes to the AFL controller via the BCM , then is stepped up to a pulsed 24volts to power the motor .
The Lamps that look exactly like this on the Saturn version of the astra will not have bi-xenon projectors . It was replaced with a manual adjuster and halogen projector .
Thanks for the postive comments , this will with a BITCH

Jimmy and DC - As soon as I get the wiring figured out . Im trying to get "competent" wiring diagram for these lights . I did contact Hella , there who manufactued it . All the wiring is internal to the headlight . Theres an assload of wires for the swilvel projector base that looks like its mixed in . The ballasts and AFL controllers acutally plug into the headlamp base and theres only 1 external connector to power the lamp .
Shermen- I would love to , I really like doing stuff like this ....but time is my enemy . Its probably gonna take me a month working on and off to get my set done
Thanks for the comments . Im about to pull the lens off one of the Astra lights and see just whats in store

Quick question.. did you ever consider gutting out the Astra headlights and swapping the internals into the Cobalt's housing? That may help fitment if it works...
