Got my Gen 4's Installed...Lots of night shots with hids soon

Got my car back today and put my 4th gens in... I didnt get any pics of them cause it was dark but i got some night shots showing light output... Really impressed with the light output with the bulbs they came with. I have 55w 8000k low beams, 55w 6000k high beams and 35w 3000k fogs coming in tomorrow. Hopefully have them all them installed with pics tomorrow.

Heres with the bulbs they come with....

Did the best i could with a basic point and shoot camera

Hid pics on page 2!

You just made up my mind about these!! Light output looks good, not shitty like the other gen's. I will be using HID's in mine tho.

Looks great!!!

These have a much better beam pattern compared to my third gens. They will light up a lot more of the road, and I barely notice a different when I turn my fogs on. Before the fogs actually made a difference in how much of the road was lit, these do that by themselves. Here's a shot of mine with 5000K HIDs, and I know it looks dark I did that on purpose to better show the actual cutoff.

^^This...save yourself 50 bucks..the Phillips bulbs in the high beams are great and replacing them with HIDs would be a downgrade honestly due to the lack of instant light (10-15 second warm-up period for the HIDs) and lack of the ability to aim the high beams. Plus...it's not like anyone else is going to see them to think it's cool cuz you gotta turn them off for oncoming traffic anyways...or at least you're supposed to

Hids just got here!! :runs to put them in::

Only reason i went ahead and did the high beams is insurance company paid for them so i figured why not? But you have have me thinking about it lol Il put them in and if i dont like them il take them out and sell them on here or something.

You can put the HID in the highs, but to overcome the no-light issue when switching you can rig up a relay system to keep the lows lit when you turn the highs on.

Nice! Looks sweet man! The cutoff line is sexy! So... there's only one dial on each headlight for aiming, correct? Just up & down?

Yeah, the one dial will aim both the lows and highs up or down as they're one unit within the housing.

Good to hear. I'm glad there isn't 2 for aiming like the 2nd gens. Those were the biggest pain in the ass ever.
