Got Some Questions About On Appearance

Im going to enter my car in Texas Heat Wave. In the judging rules it says that the interior has to be visible, the trunk open, hood open. i have nothing done to my engine. just intake and nothing painted.

i want to paint the engie blue so it can do good in the show. i am also going to redo some of my interior, paint eyelids on my headlights and possibly paint my bowties.

any other suggestions and what kinda paint do i use to paint the engine?

High temp paint wont flake, or what you could do is just prime, paint, and clear coat. I always recommend dupli-color products. Definately use 3-4 coats of clear.

i use duplicolor sandable primer, then take your color matched GM paint and use it, then clear coat after that

Dont use the duplicolor paint if you want color matched paint. then the the paint through gm. I would however still use dupli color clear coat

EDIT: And dupli color primer

Do color matched eye lids. just make sure you tape it off right. i think that would look cool. prime, paint and clear. if you have an intake on your car, you could color match the piping.

Ahh, well if its is kinda dark inside I would say do a couple blue LED light bars well hidden in the engine bay. Now I am not a big fan of neons/LEDs all over a car but for show purposes only they can be ok as long as they are not overused. They would accent your engine bay nicely and you can always remove them later on or just leave them in and keep em off until you show it again.

You can replace some of the hoses and stuff in your engine bay with blue ones that usually colors up the engine real nice plus its not that expensive.

Good luck at the show :
