h.i.d. conversion

I installed a h.i.d. conversion kit from vision bulbs on my cobalt. I paid for the hi/lo kit. But the high beams are not working. I contacted vision bulbs and sent them pics of what I got. They are telling me it is the right kit but high beams are not working. Anybody with any ideas??

By the way their customer support sucks. Takes them two days to get back to a email and no phone number to call them

Did you hook up the shield slider (or what ever they call it) wire correctly?

Edit:
If there it's a bi-xenon bulb, there will be two wires going to the ballast, and two more that are used to move the slider... you have to hook them to your high beam circuit...
Also, might have to add in a diode to keep the bulb on when you switch from lo to high.

Unlike conventional halogen bulbs, HID's use one light source, and simply move the bulb, or a slider to change the light output.

Follow the link, register, and browse around.

wires

I used a relay provided with the kit to connect everything up. The lights are really nice and bright but when I swith on the high beam nothing happens. The one light flares up. Are you telling me the actual filament moves back and forth for the high beam??
Any idea why it wouldn't move? How can I check for proper operation??

Yes, it moves to adjust the beam.
There should be a second set of wires coming from the bulb that controls this.

As you can see on this image, there is are a set of thicker red and blue wires...they are the supply from the ballast...
The black and white, smaller wires control the beam.
