Sooo... I just figured out that the halo's in my first gen lights are burnt out (busted whatever).

I was going to swap for CCFL halo's but a bunch of people in my local club said

"Meh, angel eyes belong on BMW's anything else is rice"

what do you guys think? should I bother fixing the halos? I dont really care if they dont work to be honest, I dont like Halo's that much, but... while we're on the topic.......

they are rice for sure. i bought headlights with them, but i dont even plug them in.

 

I like mine. To each their own though. Here are mine, but 3rd gen's. Old pic though since I switched to type 2 LED signals.

Yeah. Theyre pretty much rice:P But Who really cares. I have them in my car and I love the whole setup much better than my stock lights. I find that im paying money on my car, as long as i like how it looks thats all that matters. If you dont like them then dont bother setting them up.

@z062007vette those are what i have exactly. The only thing i don't like is the 3 little LED's at the bottom. Im in the process of brainstorming on what i want to do with that space, because i don't want to just disconnect the 3 LED's because itd just look like i have burnt out bulbs.

This makes perfect sense to me. Padlock has a set I think. It's a halo ring around the lens of the projector.

Well I have a set of 3rd gen with halos. I personally like them but they are a pain in the ass cause the led halos aren't bright at all.

 

In my opinion, halos only look good on retros, any halos on the gen 1/2/3/4 headlights looks like its straight from ebay like those chrome civic lights you always seen. JUST AN OPINION, although so gen 1's have looked decent.

yeah i think the halos look good on retros but the aftermarket lights are junk and crappy looking imho.

 

Correct.. I used to have a set on my car awhile back

 

i thnk all the aftermarket dual halo setups for our cars look like ****, the retros that have halos look friggen sweet though

 

I wish that streetracin guy still did retros.. is it true that he doesn't do that good of work anymore?

yeah i had something similar that buyhids did for me.. one of the halos crapped out real quick plus i got tired of the look so i removed them. retros eventually.
