Halo Projector Lights

I was palnning on getting the Halo Projectors (ebay ones) but befoer I do. I have a queston for those that have them: I live in California and the police are a pain in the ass so are they street legal, I'm assuming they are if you dont drive with the halos on and the leds on but just a question? And, do you like the light output more than the stock ones? Thanks Everyone

OK here is the scoop on those Halos. As of right now there is NO California law that says you can not run Halos. Even the ones with the LEDs in them are legal. However if the LEDs are any color other then white you may be cited for use of OFF ROAD LIGHTS. This means that your LEDs that are white, but produce and blueish tint are legal. Your Halos must be in a sealed headlight and not exposed. The maximium light output can only be 8500K anything higher is consider an OFF HIGHWAY bulb.

Basically what this means is if you are stopped by a law enforcement officer and he can not distinguish that the LEDs are white and not another color you may have illegal lights.

I'm at work right now and talking with some of the California Highway Patrol units in the area.
