I'm looking at purchasing a set of Halo Headlights. I have my eye on a pair of black ones from ebay. However I have been reading all the Halo info on this site and noticed some talk about losing your highbeams when moving over to the halos. Is this true and if so is there any other halo systems out there that have high and low beams?

ok, the "halo's" mentioned on the site are a brand name of an HID kit sold by a member of this site. The halos on ebay is an entire new headlight assembly with halogen projectors.

 

i just installed projecters yesterday the black ones off ebay....my high beams r better than stock

 

do they still use the 9007 bulbs?

 

what happens when the halogen bulb burns out in the halo's? do you have to buy new halos at $300 a pop

The projector headlights use H1 bulbs for both highs and lows...I have the black ones as well.

And no you don't need totally new headlights if the bulb burns out, they're replaceable just like any other headlight assembly.

Yes that is the "HALO" like whats on the beemers!

 

Yes the low beams are adjustable...a bit of a pain but they are.

As for the high beams...I don't think so.

 

INcorrect. Low & High Beams are adjustable. Fully adjustable. The halos are jsut plain LEDs. Take them out and solder new ones in if they burn out or want to change the color. Low Beams use H1 bulbs and the highs use H2 or H3 bulbs. havnt changed them yet so not too sure.

I already changed mine thank you...so no...it is not INCORRECT.

They both use H1...it even says so on most of the auction lists of the specs.

And i'm pretty sure the highbeams aren't adjustable...seeing how there is no dial for them to be adjusted like there is for the lows.
