Head Light Halo Mod

Ok ok, so before anyone says anything, I KNOW that this is super illegal to have when you driving which is why I plan on putting them on a switch so that way when I'm parked or something like that I can turn them on and when I leave, just simply turn them off. I came up with this idea when I was googling pics of the new camaro and i saw a black one with red halos. I thought it looked bad ass. Now this is a work in progress that I'm having problems with cause resoldering these LEDS is a major pain in the ass. I still am working on this head light but when i hooked them up to a power supply and saw they worked I got excited lol. So lemme know what you think.

If the leds are being a pain then get some colored CCFLs, in the end they will look better.
They are hard to find but they are out there.

lOok good. I decided to just disconnect all the LEDs and halos on my projos. Too many cars and trucks with it nowadays making it look tacky. It was cool at first but now. Ugh

i haven't seen red ccfl rings in the necessary size and i've seen those done before but they look good nonetheless. The only thing i don't like is that the leds are not that bright in the halo. that's the one thing i've never liked about the gen 1. i plan on putting ccfls too but white.

CCFLs suck and burn out. LEDs when installed correctly oin 12v will outlast anything.

Haha. I have the 1st gen Projectors but I didn't hook up the halo's Only thing I have are the 3 LED's on each headlight. I like the look of them but as you said in your previous post, too many cars nowadays have the angel eyes and LED's so it's getting kinda old.

yea there are alot of people that have them now adays. i liked them cuz i can get an HID kit without melting the stockers and not having to pay for some retros.
there is a few how toos that show you how to make some really bright halos with a clear mini blind stick and 2 LEDs. it looks pretty sick.

No, I am with you on this. More so, if you leave anything on your car stock you in the the majority because every car made will have came with that. I must be thinking to much into it but I just can't fathom that statement, which every one uses .

well not getting something someone else has IS unique, no? im trying to understand what you said. i like the halos in projectors but it isnt unique anymore. thats what everything is about. from cars to appliances. its trying to do something noone else has seen and try to catch an attention of "wow, thats cool"

no. i know thats the problem.

THe way i see it people need to stop thinking about everyone else and get what they want. at the end of the day very few things are truly "unique" so you should get what you like first and worry about how unique it is later.

if i go to a gas station with 3 friends for drinks and they have 4 flavors (coke dr pepper sprite and orange fanta) my friends get a coke dr pepper and sprite should i get the fanta just because they didnt? no im going to get a dr pepper because thats what i want. and when that ****** says to me "what dude trying to copy me" i'm going to say no im buying/getting what i want

same thing here. its fine if you don't like the halos but saying ya i like them but wont get them because too many people have them is retarted.... the second you modify your car enough to truly be unique everyone will call you rice so loose loose situation might as well say **** everyone else and do what you want and makes you happy

No, not yet. Still drying. I will try to post some pics tonight.
I got them cheap from Ebay. 2-90mm $9.99, 2-100mm $10.99.
Hope my wiring works!
