Headlight concern

I am doing some research on HID and I still have a question that was not answered by any of the previous postings. If i put HIDs into my projector housings and wired the high beams to the low beams with a relay/diode, would the HIDs stay constantly lit while the headlights were on? I only ask because I have noticed that there is a 1/2 second delay between the time the low beams turn off and the high beams turn on. Has anyone else done this and had any problems with the ballasts turning off and/or the HIDs flashing when switching from low to high beams? Also, any recommendations on brands of HID kits, I probably want the 4000k style of kit because I am doing this for lighting (not looks).

And you are going to be changing the Nokya's about 3 times a year!
They burn out very quick.

i had nokya 9007's in my headlights and they fried my factory wiring harness within weeks. anybody else had this issue? just be careful with the nokya bulbs, a few friends with cavaliers have had issues with them as well.

i think your talkin bout something like the high fours that they offer for the silverado and the s-10 and yes they would stay on when you turn the high beams on the lows would stay on with the highs and not go off till the lights are turned off..
