headlight film

Sorry if this has been discussed and answerd but I am wanting to now get clear headlight film for the car. I see there are alot of companies out there who claim that theirs is best but want to know what you guys that may have it already think. I see there are many different thicknesses out there too. I was looking at Clear Mask's Aerogard. I want one that is good at protecting from those kicked up rocks but not so thick as to distort or cut down the brightness of my lights. Any info?
Thanks

i have been commuting for 20yrs. trust me, if it helps at all it is not pointless.. No need to be following dump trucks for kick up to do damage or "frost" these acrylic covers. I know from my Z28. Maybe YOU dont do allot of freeway driving.

For now just the lights to help with the chips and to stop the acrylic from getting sandblasted and becoming frosted. also kinda a test to see how hard it is to adhire. Depending on how easy they go on, may do front of hood and bumper kit also, From what I have read its not very visable. Cheaper than a paint job later plus my car is black so every blemish shows.LOL
