For $240 how much of a difference could it be?

I was thinking the same thing, but i wonder what is the light output difference is?

 

i dunno about stock or maybe i just have diff projectors (06 LS). But those don't look anything like mine

 

Maybe the fitment........dont the headlights and bumper have fitment problems?? maybe this just makes them probs look better

anybody lookn 2 be a guinea pig? btw i think those are really close to mine or dead on i'm either totally retarded or way to tired to be doing this kind of stuff. lol

 

maybe its jus the new 2007 lights without the orange reflector built in :S

 

or it could be for the 05's like mine, we had just normal headlights but late 06+ had slightly tinted lights

 

maybe somone should try contact them and ask what the diffrence is?

 

Did you even look at the picture?

 

All those headlights are are the SS/SC headlights . For those that dont know , all the SS/SC's headlights used a chrome bezel thats tinted slightly . All other models including the N/A SS use the bright chrome headlights .

 

I remember hearing about this but I thought the part numbers were the same.

Does anybody have a side by side comparison between the SS/SC dark lamps and the Base chrome lamps?

 

yeah i noticed that after i painted my headlights they were slightly darker then the red on the car yet they were a perfect match before i put the covers back on.

 

Why don't we ask Tom at Crate Engine Depot to pull out a set and tell us what the difference is?

 

I can confirm it. I bought the second set of lights to paint and the clear cover is slightly tinted on the SS/SC lights.

I never took pics and it would be hard to tell now since the one set is blue and the other chrome inside...

 

....and the part #'s for the SS/SC lights are different Merc

 

I'll find out in the morning.I've got a buddy that works in the parts at my chevy dealer. I will post in the morning what i find out.
