they absolutely kill the light output to almost nothing...thats why i havnt really considered them...although i relize i can just snap them on during the day and take them off at night...it takes about 10 seconds.

Yeah i just bought the 3rd gen....VERYYYYY happy with them. They look sick...but if thats not an option go with the 1st.

yeah thats the ones i have.. the only thing that i dont like bout em is that they are kinda hard to adjust cuz of where the adjustment screws are located.. other than that they are great..

i got the black out covers for mine but i havent installed them, bought them used. im waiting to get my windows tinted and add fog lights before i install them. i think i will look good with blacked out lights with my white car.

here is a pic of mine

the covers are kinda scratched up but you cant tell from a distance
