I'm trying to remove my automatic shift knob but I can't figure it out does anyone know how to disassemble it???

 

most gm autos have a little clip in the front of the knob, maybe about 3/4 of an inch up from the bottom of it, I usually just use a penny or dime under that clip to pry it out (doesn't have to come all the way out, they stop like half way out), then just pull it off.
I'm not sure if that's how the cobalt is or not though.
