Help B4 I mess it up....VHT / blackouts: how to make it shine

Ok,

So I have been getting hell from you guys and my ls1tech guys.

My tails not as smooth/shiny as they should be so what do I do?

What I did:
4 coats VHT with sanding between coats
3 coats clear
sanded
polished
wax

still, look for yourself.

Without re-doing it, what do you guys recommend I do?
I have heard, "just polish them," "wet sand them," "rubbing compound"

etc

etc

I am at your mercy

I found that putting on a heavier coat helps to make the nice and shiny. Mine looked like yours on my first attempt doing it the same way. I then did it the quick and dirty way and had a lot better results. I simply prepped the lights with some light wet sanding and then gave them several heavy coats of VHT w/o sanding them between coats. Then added several clear coats followed by wax and they look 10X better.

What kind of clear did you use?

And like said before, you want heavier coats because its not as high quality as something like auto base/clear.

Find a nice glossy clear coat. It makes a huge difference.

Nice wet coats are important, if you get a light coat on there it dry to quick, and doesnt flow out. I dont even have clear on my 3rd brake light, and(no offense) it looks MUCH better than your tails.
