Help! Cloudy c/f hood!

Hey guys,

So I traded my stock hood a few months back for an RK-Sport c/f ram air hood.. Good trade, although the c/f hood needs a new coat of clear really bad.. It's all cloudy.. He told me to polish it real good and it'll look better.. Well.. I polished it really good just now, and it doesn't look any better.. I can tell that it's very smooth now from rubbing it with the towel, however it's still very cloudy.. I used Turtle Wax.. I have been spending like 3 days meticulously cleaning my entire car for my vacation and to get some really good pics before winter and I'd hate it if the entire car looked amazing except the hood.. Any quick fixes that'll last the day that I shoot..?

Thanks!

Yep just needs a good clear coat and you will be fine. Polishing wont really help too much.

QFT. preety much all that can be done. most companies use gel coat as a finish on cf. my CA cf wing blade is doing the same. what it is the gel coat is oxidising. it will also start to yellow from uv exposure. only cure for the oxidizing is a sand down and re clear. my cf trunk from xcelerated concepts looks brand new cause they clear thier products and not gel coat. i know when i get a cf hood it is getting cleared before it ever goes on the car. hope that helps ya. note the bad grammer, im a little tired and posting from my LG Dare.

Hmm.. Good info.. Do you know any reputable body places to do this in the area? And any sort of price range? Will it be like under 150 by chance?
