Help!! How to remove overspray?

So I was painting my car the other day with a spray can and I thought I masked all the other parts off (used blankets and newspaper). However, when I took away the blankets and newspaper there was a bunch of black dots everywhere. I took off a lot of it with hot water, a brush and elbow grease. But the rest seems to not budge D:

I would say try goof off but that is at your own discretion. I think that might take the paint off but I think it will take too much paint off.

what did you paint and where is the paint you want to get off
use paint thinner it should get spay paint off but will not affect factory paint
factory paint is very hard. when you are done wash and wax the area you use the paint thinner on

no paint thinner will not affect stuff with a harden in it like clear coat

aftermarket paint i might think twice about doing it but factory paint is very good and wont affect anything

it might not look perfect but factory paint is very tough they don't wait to need to pay to repaint cars all the time
if you don't want to go straight for paint thinner try wax and grease remover it is weaker

I have also used Clay Bar to remove overspray. White overspray on a black car, took it all right off.

I accidentally over sprayed my old 1990 cavalier and yes, paint thinner took it right off without damaging my factory paint.

Its funny cuz the factory paint on a 20 y/o cavalier was in better shape then the paint on my cobalt, the front of the car looks like it was sandblasted.
