its made for the 2.2L rear bumper which is ALOT smaller, not as wide then your stock ss/sc bumper.

I bought this two years ago and found out it doesn't fit. I mean it will fit if you remove the lower valance thats on the stock SS/SC bumper but there is special slit cut outs for the stock valance that it uses to connect to it. If you use the RK Sport valanec it will show those exposes slits unless you bondo the slits and cover them up. The only thing holding the valance in place is 3M tape. You have to use seperate screws to keep it in place or it will fall off completely

The RK Sport Valanace was designed for Base model cobalts with no sport apperance package. The people who run that place are yoyo's. They won't give me my money back when I purchased it and when I called them at first they said it would fit. Misinformed sales people there if you tell me.

This is a picture of what the car looks like without the valance.

That's my car from a while back. You can see the slits in the bumper. Sorry for the bad image. it was taken off a cell camera.

I too tried to go with the rk sport valance. If you take the stock valance off you break the tabs off it and have to order a new one. It only installs once. Don't worry I learned my lesson and bought another stocker and put it back on.

Don't do it. They won't take it back without a 20% restocking fee and you pay for the shipping to send it back.

Not true, mine is off right now and perfectly intact. the trick is to get it off without breaking anything you have to remove the rear bumper cover

I got mine off with no problems, u just have to be careful, and I didnt remove my bumper cover. There are metal brackets that hold the lip on that u have to pop off one at a time. U just cant go ripping it off.

Also, the RKSport G5 Rear Valance will fit, u just have to cut the new valance a bit and if u do it right, the new valance will cover up the old slots in the bumper. AND I made custom brackets and I got new longer push type clips to hold the valance on in the wheel wells. Mine fits fine and i havent even used the 3m tape. lol.

I know Im late but o well.. lol

later
