Hey guys i am getting my paint job done this week and im putting two racing stripes down the middle of the car. I have a 2006 red cobalt ss/sc. And i need to know what a good color would be. Im only 17 trying to afford this stuff still in high school and i know black would go with a nice set of black rims wit a chrome lip but i jus need something that matches the stock rims or maybe u think i should paint the rims anybody help im open to options when i get it down ill post pictures of what it looks like soo

 

how bout a charcoal color?? i know my stock wheels match up good with CF

 

yea i do like the charcoal color that was one of my choices that i really liked. If i do that color u think i should do an outline around them or not?

I did the same thing at your age with my camaro. Ended up putting ghost racing stripes on it. It looked sweeeeeeettttt!

Yea man im all about cars and i pay for all the **** not mommy and daddy lol thats why its hard but u kno i was kinda of scared when i went and bought the car but let me tell u something i love it and im definetly gonna keep it. But yea thanks for the advice i like the charcoal look to thats like a little lighter than a black right.

Thats the way to go.
Every car I've owned I bought and payed for out of my own pocket.
I feel bad for those kids who got a car from mommy and daddy because they don't appreciate the vehicle and to them its just another toy that there parents will fix if they mess it up.

Yeah, when i do mine I'm just going two tone. Black above the body line with a pinstrip and silver below the body line.

my suggestion would be if you have a PS2 go on one of the Need For Speed games that has the cobalt ss/sc on it and do the appearance to see how it looks.

 

I like my color combo, but it didn't look very good with the stock gunmetal wheels. I would go with a darker silver or charcoal like you're saying.
