I have an 08 rally yellow cobalt, at first I wanted to change the wheels to a 5 lug conversion for the SS wheels.
But i think its too much work...
Does anyone have an lt or an ls with some pictures with your wheels & the size? or websites to where you got them? I liked the liquid metal velocity wheels but idk.
It would be appreciated!!

also, any ideas of how I can make the the car look better ( spoiler kit, ground effects? something..) ..Im not really sure haha

Honestly the SS 5 bolt pattern definitely has a limited choice of aftermarket wheels compared to our 4 bolt pattern. Just get some nice rims and lower it with Eibach Sportlines and it'll look sick as ****!

I need new tires soon so was thinking of getting some 17'' SS rims.

There are some ideas, i think Black wheels would look sexy on a yellow car!!!! I wish i had a picture of the side of my car with the side skirts, as well as the photographer would of watied for me to shine my tires haha!!!!!!!!!

some sport lines would set the car off with some rims!!!!

 

FYI: SS 17's wont fit the LS. We got 4x100 bolt pattern and SS's got 5x110. Had a shot at some SS rims and found out they wouldn't fit mine anyway. Kinda a bummer since so many people are selling SS rims.

 

i ran into the same problem. luckly i have a friend that had another cobalt which he just replaced his stock 16" 4 lug rims.
so i ended up buying them from him. they look so much better than the stock "steelies". plus i like the stock look of our cars.

i actually just installed them this past weekend. heres the before and after pics.

The 5-lug conversion definitely is a big headache because of the brakes moreso than anything else.

I would LOVE to get my hands on a set of stock 4-lug alloys. Having a hard time finding any that they seller doesn't want an arm and a leg for.

damn!! I want 17''s, since I got a LS going cost me $1000 (TOTAL) for some 17'' chrome rims + NEW TIRES
Unless someone here can sell me some used chrome 17''s rims that will fit a LS.

how about with a 4-5lug converter? sry ima noob.

 

They have adaptors, but the cost of the set plus the cost of the rims, it would be the same price or cheaper to just buy a set that actually fit your car. Plus, adaptors arn't all that safe.
