i took out my ss n/a cloth front seat yester day and there were 2 plugins under it. i do not have heated seats! what is it ? i bought some leather ss seats to take there place and they have a secondary plug under them but it's for heated seats. im wondering if all cobalts come with heated seat wiring just the the controll unit in the dash, incase some one wanted heated seats a dealer could do a swap? what do you guys think? if you agree with my idea, any one know were i can get the in dash control unit? plus a new silver face plate with the holes cut out for it?

 

u have a pressure sensor in ur seat that tells the car when someone is sitting in the chairs.


its for the seatbelt warning system

 

^also turns on the passenger airbag if someone is sitting there.

 

yup.

also makes sure that if a baby is in the passenger seat and below a certain weight the airbags DONT go on.

 

thanx guys 2 mins after i posted i went out and figured it out myself! the weired thing is, my cloth seats only had 1 plug in them! were as the leather requires them both! odd?

 

well the leather prob has the heated seat option.

 

how much did the leather seats cost you? im thinking about doing this, i hate my cloth seats

 

i got them off ebay for $450.00 usd and shipping was 100.00 so in total it was $550.00. But it was a complete set front and rear awesome condition! i also got a center console with original s/c shifter
