you can buy a kit for the stock housings. just aim them low so you don't blind the **** out of people. stock bulb number 9007

Don't do what he told you it blinds way too many people and can cause accidents. I have been wanting HID's for some time now but I am going to wait until I can save up the money to do it right. You need to a. retorfit, b. get the ebay projector housings...just my .02

halogen housings are made for halogen bulbs, HID housings are made for HID bulbs. there are some non projector housings that are MADE for HIDs ie the maxima, please do everyone on the road a favor and not put HID in your halogen housings

HIDs in stock reflectors cause massive glare REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU AIM THEM.

If you want to talk about HIDs seriously. throw me a PM and ill be more than happy to help you out.
if you wanna listen to "do-it-on-the-cheap" modders, listen to the posts above.

PS. you kids need to do some research before you try passing off your incorrect information as advice.

look at where these pics are taken from.
please, tell me how far you have to aim them down so these dont blind people?
on the ground in front of the car perhaps?

Me.

It doesn't matter how low you aim them, the problem lies with the reflector behind your bulb. Ever notice on cars that came with HIDs have projectors and not round chrome bowls?... there is a reason behind this madness.

If you want H.I.Ds, either cheap out and buy the ebay projector headlights that at least have projectors, or be willing to cough up some change for a true retrofit.

An0malous and I need to start an anti-stock HID club or something... I saw a set last week on a F-150 that had a 3 inch body lift, can you imagine the glare from that thing, I was blinded and the car infront of me was blinded and yelling at me when I could see my cut-off line below their trunk.

i feel like carrying a claw hammer in my car, and finding those cars where they park and "fixing" their glare problem with 2 swift swings.

hids do not HAVE to be paired with projectors(ie <2006 escalade, toyota prius etc...) but the headlight housing DOES need to be designed for hid and the cobalts are not designed for them therefore in order to not be a ******* and do it right you must change the housing...period

izntrbl does them for $625 + shipping

For the healdights and projectors.... now buy ballasts and bulbs, so add another $150 -$200.
