HID color

I had 8k in my heads and fogs when I had my 06 yellow ss, and I'm gonna put some new HIDs in my black 09 ss.. I was thinking 12k in the fogs, and retro fit the heads with 6k and maybe blue halos. I don't want the fogs to be very functional, but to just look good!

any thoughts on that setup?
also, does the wiring harness for the fogs from buyhids.com make your fogs stay on with hi beam?
thanks for the help guys!

6K retros & 12 K fogs sounds good!

harness will not make the fogs stay on with the highs, that is controlled by the BCM

there a way I can make the fogs stay on with the hi's? switching the fogs on and off is hard on them if I recall correctly

wire them to the running lights? Custom relay harness?
Its technically illegal in most places to have your fog lights on with your high beams and that's why the BCM shuts them off

I read some place where Mike @ buyhids said his wiring harness made the fogs stay on all the time, but i don't know if that's just the harness that does that or if you have to mod it

I have 12k fogs and 8k headlights and the fogs are too blue. I used to have 12ks in my headlights but they burned out with in a month, they weren't that bright anyway. Eventually I will stop being lazy and order some 8k's for my fogs.

where'd you get yours from? cause I had some from buyhids.com in my 06 ss and they worked fine, and I had some from ddmtuning.com in my x runner and they were great too.... although they came in a box with Chinese markings all over it!

So you're getting projectors and not just retrofitting your stockers? I'm gonna retrofit my stockers and paint the housing black
