Hid help
Hid help
Somebody tell me a good kit to buy. I want 6000k 35 watt. And I don't want the two bulb deal. I want the hids to work for my low and my high beams. Any help would be appreciated.
Stay away from the cheapo bi-xenon kits. Most of them don't produce a proper high beam pattern. As far as I know, the BuyHIDs bulbs do. If you want to get the best from HIDs without blinding people, then it's HIGHLY recommended to do a projector retrofit.

Most of the cheap 9007 bi-xenon bulbs move in and out. The BuyHID bulbs tilt up and down into the same position as the low and high beam filaments in a 9007 halogen bulb. Still, you're better off saving your money and retrofitting.
somebody give me some info on Retro fit projectors. Cost, what's involved, where to buy. Any help would be appreciated
This is what I have...
Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
It does a pretty decent job. The low beams outshine the halogen low beams by far and the high beams are about the same as the halogen high beams. Other than the Mini D2S, this is their low end projector. The Mini H1 is actually better than their Mini D2S. If you want something that performs better, go with the FX-R. The FX-R doesn't screw on like the Mini H1 does though. It's a more involved process. The Mini H1 is inserted through the bulb hole and the nut is tightened. The Cobalt headlights require some trimming since the 9007 lip is a little deep and doesn't allow the Mini H1 bulb holder to screw down all the way. Despite of all that, it's well worth it.

spend the money and do it right, do it once.
you have to pay to play.
i had regular headlights, regular headlights with hids, and then retrofitted headlights and retro fits are by far, bar none the only way to go when looking to upgrade your lighting. a few people make them for cobalts. who you want to do yours, how much you want to pay, and the quality you should expect varies between the three im thinking of.
heres mine
