Hid lights

Just a quick question about hid lights, how excatly do you go about getting them? Do you need to get some kind of kit or can you just order a bulb and swap out old with the new?

You need a full kit, HID bulb, Ballasts and relay harness.

PM BUYHIDS (MKulrey13) or check out The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

Retrofit with Bi-Xenon projectors like the Mini H1s if you want to do it right. Mini H1s are a good upgrade over halogens. If you don't mind cutting and drilling into your reflectors, go with FX-Rs if you prefer width or EvoX-Rs if you want distance. Either one of those projectors will be better than the Mini H1s, but the Mini H1s are easiest to install. Don't just stick HID bulbs into your headlights and call it a night. Also, make sure to use 4,300k bulbs. If you decide on the EvoX-R or FX-R projectors or any projector that uses a D2S bulb, use OEM bulbs, like Philips or OSRAM. What I'm saying is, if you wanna upgrade your lights, do it right.

Lil Overboard on the topic if you really look at the question he asked, doubt he has a clue to what your talking about, lol

OP you can buy bulbs that have a blue output to them i think autozone sells them cheap but the light output wouldnt even compare to a HID kit, its not that difficult to hook them up i dont have to do a retro mod buy you can buy a HID kit and just hook it up.

Stay away from blue. If you were to go with a blue tinted halogen bulb, you're gonna kill your output. Blue is also terrible in the rain. A retrofit will give you that blue effect without sacrificing light output.

The most minimal efforrt would be to buy luminics pure blue bulbs that aren't to bad priced on eBay. I've never personally ran them, but if you look them up on YouTube you can see bids of them. If your wanting more than simple blue color then go aftermarket like everyone else said either retrofits which seem to be the popular thing on here or get an aftermarket set of lights with projectors built in and buy an hid kit.
