They sell "manual" ones that you just get out and fold under for a lot less.

Great if you're running from cops/running through toll both. And worth the money in that case. Like the ”transporter” with his switchable plates....

Otherwise completely useless.

Shoulda installed it on the rear.

Why would you install it on the rear?... You have a spot to mount a plate and that would look dumb.

See above. I scrape things with my front lip add it is... No need to add anything else. To each their own though.

EDIT: He's got three bolt holes in the front bumper too (i.e. Spot to mount them there too)... I never saw the purpose for these besides running from 5-0.

I've thought about doing a rear plate delete, and putting on on the rear,

(Fill the rear bumper in) and mount the plate under the rear lip

Now THAT would be cool. Or mount it in the original plate location (with some custom bracketry behind bumper cover and such).

Front plate rule is and has been enforced in Washington, Oregon, and, iirc, California. They gotta bounce that laser radar beam off of something...

It's required in IL too. I have one for that reason... but honestly I like the look of it also. Rather than where it's supposed to go.
