i know i sound like a broken record.

but i could care less. if someone like me doesnt try to educate people on them, how will they learn.
The amount of time i spend on this site answering PMs about HIDs and Projectors would probably shock you. but i feel like im at least contributing to the community by helping people understand how to do it properly.

4.3k = standard white ---brightest
6k = hyperwhite (very very slight blue) -----still very bright
8k = pure blue -----less bright but still good
10k = purpleish blue ----only slightly better than a good halogen

10k+ waste of money

people always forget their brights and yeah for about 2 seconds i have to squint and look away (which if you learned in driving school you are supposed to follow the white line on the side of the road anyway and not look into blinding lights) but you know what after about 5 seconds its over with and your eyes are not damaged at all and you are perfectly ok. now if you get blinded by hids and have to have laser eye surgury because of a burnt retina or some of your rods and cones are fucked up, then sure bitch all you want about blinding lights, but until then, who really gives damn

distance hids are longer then halogens. and it will seem as the lighter colors will get more distance then say purple or blue just becasue its a more pure light

4300 will give you the most lighting performance period.

me personally, i found 6k to be basically the same performance, but a nicer color.

8k is sexy as hell, love the color the most out of all of them, but theres a slight drop in lighting performance (still far better than a silverstar)

10k is a little to purplish for me, ive seen 10k look blue, or purple. i think it depends on the manufacturer. the loss in lighting compared to 4300-6k is quite noticable (still better than a halogen, but not by alot)

anything past 10k is a joke.
you lose lighting performance exponentially, and you might as well save your money and buy colored halogens.

Here is a crappy picture of my HIDs, however mine are done.... ::cough cough:: Properly. HID Retrofit with 6000k Philips D2S Bulbs.

Here is my challenge to you guys... Make those HID kits in your stock lenses look like mine.
